Tom Hardy is famous for his intense roles and undeniable charisma, but there’s one companion who regularly steals the spotlight—his dog, Blue.
Whether it’s a film premiere or a press interview, Blue always manages to charm the crowd.
Let’s take a look at what we know about Blue, from his breed to his age.
How old is Tom Hardy’s dog Blue?
While Tom Hardy hasn’t shared Blue’s exact age, it’s clear the pup is a big part of his life. Hardy brings Blue along to movie sets, interviews, and even major red carpet events.
At the UK premiere of Venom: The Last Dance, Blue accompanied Hardy and quickly won over fans and photographers alike with his calm presence and undeniable cuteness.
During a conversation with Jo Malone London, Hardy talked about how dogs have always been part of his world.
He shared that his love for dogs started when he was a child, inspired by his grandfather Ray’s dog, Louie.
He remembered trying to snuggle with Louie as a kid, only to be met with resistance.
That moment stuck with him, and he dreamed of having a dog he could truly bond with—one who’d become his sidekick, just like Louie was to his grandfather.
What breed is Tom Hardy’s dog Blue?
Blue is a French Bulldog, a breed known for its compact size and big personality. These dogs may not bark a lot, but they’re incredibly observant.
They’re also playful and gentle, especially around kids and families.
French Bulldogs are small in size, usually under 28 pounds, and instantly recognizable by their signature bat-like ears. One thing to keep in mind if you have a Frenchie at home—they don’t do well in water.
Their build makes swimming difficult, so it’s best to keep an eye on them around pools or even during bath time.
With proper care, French Bulldogs usually live between 10 to 12 years.
