A dog named Django is stealing hearts across social media with his completely original way of rating food.

On March 24, Django’s owner posted a video to the pup’s official Instagram account, where the furry foodie gave his opinion on asparagus—and people can’t get enough.

Django’s Smile-Based Food Ratings Are Taking Off

The viral clip features Django reacting to different snacks, and his method is unlike anything you’ve seen.

In this video, his human asks, “What would you rate asparagus?!”—and what happens next has viewers totally charmed.

The video kicks off with Django sitting patiently, waiting for his next culinary challenge. His owner then presents him with asparagus, saying, “Today, we have a new one.

We have an asparagus. You just take a small, gentle bite.” Django doesn’t waste a second before going in for a chew.

Once he’s had a taste, it’s time for the rating. His human starts counting down from 10. As the count hits 6, Django flashes a goofy, crooked grin—his signature move for giving a score.

That quirky smile was all it took to send the comment section into a frenzy.

One fan joked, “He’s like, did I STUTTER on my first ‘6’, ma’am???” Another wrote, “This is the type of quality content I come here for.” Someone else chimed in, “He’s sooo precious. I love him. He really understands you.”

Django hasn’t stopped with asparagus either. He’s tested and rated all kinds of fruits and veggies, including blueberries, carrots, cucumbers, and blackberries.

Each food gets the same countdown treatment—and viewers are loving every second of it.
