We’ve all had that one bite we wish we could take back. Maybe the label was misleading, or maybe we were just too eager to notice.
Either way, that split second of regret hits hard. Apparently, our dogs aren’t immune to that feeling either.
Just ask Dyce the Rottweiler, who recently discovered that not everything orange and cube-shaped is cheese.
Rottweiler’s taste test goes hilariously wrong
Dyce recently went viral after a video surfaced on Instagram, shared by @dycederottweiler, showing his hilarious reaction to a fruit mix-up. In the video, Dyce watches closely as his owner eats a plate of bright yellow mango cubes with a fork.
Assuming it’s cheese — his favorite snack — Dyce eagerly goes in for a taste. But the moment that mango hits his tongue, it’s clear something isn’t right.
His eyes pop open, his jaw drops, and the mango chunk drops right back out.
To make the scene even funnier, the video uses the trending TikTok sound “Ew, Brother, Ew! What’s That?” which couldn’t fit Dyce’s reaction better.
His dramatic look, the surprise twist, and the perfect audio pairing have turned the video into a social media sensation.
In just four days, the clip has pulled in over 6.8 million views and 236,000 likes. Fans flooded the comments, cracking up over Dyce’s food flop. One person wrote, “You can see the exact moment he regretted that choice.”
Another added, “The betrayal in his eyes is real.” Someone else chimed in, “He didn’t even trust his nose, poor guy.”
While Dyce wasn’t impressed, mango is actually fine for dogs to eat. It’s packed with vitamins A, B6, C, and E, and can be a healthy snack if served in small, peeled, and pitted chunks.
Just make sure to skip the pit, since it poses a choking risk and contains a small amount of cyanide.
Like all treats, mango should be an occasional snack, especially for dogs not used to fruit.
