A recent video making the rounds on social media shows a Golden Retriever hilariously unsure about what to do with his new treat.
Golden Retriever Stumped by Boiled Egg in Funny Clip
An Instagram user named @teddythegolden.boy posted a video of their Golden Retriever looking totally baffled when presented with a fresh snack. This account, run by Teddy’s owner, is filled with posts capturing sweet moments from the dog’s daily life.
Whether it’s lounging in the sun or playing with a stick, Teddy’s adventures always bring smiles.
In the clip, Teddy eagerly waits for his treat. His owner then offers him a boiled egg, and you can almost hear the dog thinking, “What on earth is this?” Despite his confusion, Teddy gently picks up the egg in his mouth, as if guessing he’s supposed to eat it.
But once it’s in his mouth, he completely freezes, unsure of the next move.
Teddy’s bewildered look is what makes the moment so funny. His owner added to the humor by captioning the video, “To eat or not to eat??”
Judging by Teddy’s face, it’s clear he’s never encountered an egg before and has no clue what to make of it.
While dogs usually get excited over new snacks, they can sometimes be a bit lost when tasting something unfamiliar. Of course, they eventually warm up to new treats.
