Humphrey really takes the idea of “falling asleep” to a whole new level.
I know those naps where nothing can wake you up, not even something unexpected, and this one fits that perfectly. I came across a video of a young Golden Retriever from the TikTok account @ylilnoon, and it instantly caught my attention.
It begins after everything has already gone down, which somehow makes it even funnier. One moment he was peacefully napping on a chair, and the next, he was somewhere completely different.
What surprised me most was that nothing seemed to bother him. He stayed deeply asleep, calm as ever, just in a position no one would expect.

The clip opens right after the fall, with Lily clearly shocked as she records what just happened. She keeps saying she can’t believe it. “Oh my god, he just fell off the chair and he is genuinely sleeping,” she says.
The chair is now empty, and Humphrey is lying on the floor like a fluffy pile. But he is not just resting normally. His body is twisted in a strange way, head tilted down, legs up, almost like he landed mid-roll and stayed there.
Then Lily lowers the camera to show his face more closely. I could see exactly what one commenter meant when they described him as a “sleepy little pretzel.” This Golden Retriever must be incredibly flexible because I can’t imagine anyone holding that position and staying asleep at the same time.
There is even a small photo shown in the corner of the video of him earlier, peacefully sleeping on the chair. Now, he is just sprawled out on the floor. He gives a tiny stretch when his mom talks to him, but that is it.
He does not wake up or even try to move. He just stays in his own little dream world.
The post has already reached over 201.3k likes, and the comments are full of jokes like “this is how I wake up with a sore neck” and “it’s called falling asleep for a reason,” which feels way too accurate.
Lily also mentioned she wishes she could sleep that deeply through anything. I have to admit, I feel the same way.
