Deep in the woods near a busy freeway, a frightened little pit bull was huddled alone, unsure who to trust. She was cold, shaking, and clearly heartbroken—until someone showed up who truly cared.
When Audray heard distressed sounds coming from near the road, her first thought was that a dog had been hit.
Without wasting a moment, she rushed toward the noise, determined to help.
Audray brought a crate and some food and water, hoping to gently coax the dog out. Day after day, she returned to the same spot, slowly building trust.
The Rescue
For more than three weeks, she kept showing up, leaving meals and kind words behind.
Finally, after weeks of effort, the nervous pup stepped into the crate. That marked the beginning of her second chance. Audray named her Daisy, and from that point on, Daisy’s journey toward healing began.
At first, Daisy was too scared to be near anyone. Every small sound or movement would make her flinch.
But with time, patience, and love, she started to come out of her shell. Soon enough, her true personality started to shine, and she turned into a total snuggle bug.
When she met other rescue dogs, everything changed. Daisy hit it off with another pittie almost instantly, and the two became best friends while they waited for a foster home.
Daisy Finds a Foster and a New Life
A foster family soon stepped up to welcome Daisy. Once there, she didn’t waste time getting comfortable. She even bonded with their German Shepherd and grew more confident each day, surrounded by people and pups who made her feel safe.
After a few meet-and-greets with potential adopters, the perfect match finally came along.
Daisy has now found her forever home, where she is thriving. She’s healthy, loved, and living the happy life she always deserved.
